Doctor Doran was born and raised locally in the santa clara valley. After high school graduation, he attended UCLA on a University scholarship and graduated in 1988 with a bachelor of science degree in psychobiology. Moving back to the bay area, he attended the University of the Pacific School of Dentistry in San Francisco and in 1994 graduated with high honors and his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree.
Doctor Doran has been in private practice since 1994 and is currently in solo practice in Sunnyvale California. He maintains his credentials through participation in numerous continuing education classes throughout the year. He remains an active member of numerous professional organizations including the American Dental Association, California Dental Association, Santa Clara County Dental Society, UCLA Alumni Association, University of the Pacific Alumni Association, and Omicron Kappa Upsilon which is an honorary dental society.
Doctor Doran has volunteered time, dental procedures and supplies to local groups including give kids a smile, Sunnyvale community services and numerous youth sports orginazations throughout the santa clara valley. In 2007, he was awarded the distinction of one of the top dentists in California and in 2009 was honored as one of the top doctors in the bay area .
Lastly, Doctor Doran , his wife Margaret, and their children, Lorin, Cristalyn, Craig and Grant enjoy spending time together. Their family activities include beach trips , golf , movies and mostly just hanging around together.
